
Sally P. Nemi
AUBURN – Sally P. Nemi, 88, of Jay, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, at Andwell Hospice House in Auburn, with her family by her side.
She was born June 13, 1936, in Mount Vernon, the daughter of Victor and Nellie (Linscott) Anderson. She was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School.
On April 23, 1955, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, she married Joseph C. Nemi. They enjoyed 51 years together before his passing on April 9, 2006. Sally devoted her life to her family, home and community. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
Sally was a great cook, enjoyed gardening, trips to Disney World with the grandkids, summers at their home on the coast, but more than anything, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Nemi of Farmington, sons Gregory Nemi and wife Ann of Wilton, and Dick Nemi and wife Noreen of Turner; seven grandchildren, Brad, Katie, Gina, David, Jennifer, Ryan and Michael; seven great-grandchildren, Tucker, Penelope, Henry, Mia, Christian, Hailey and Carson.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Joe; grandson, Nicholas Nemi; and great-granddaughter, Macie Joe Morin.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 16, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church St., Jay. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park St., Livermore Falls.
