Robert Lewis Carver
CARTHAGE – Robert Lewis Carver, 82, of Carthage, Maine, passed away on August 10, 2024 at the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn. Robert was born on April 2, 1942, in Lewiston, to James and Philanise Obie Carver.
He spent his childhood on a farm and had a love for horses. As a skilled fisherman he enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and friends as often as possible.
Most of his life Robert worked as a carpenter and excelled in is craft, being able to fix or build anything.
On March 23,1963, he married Brenda F. Merrill and resided in Durham until 1981 when they moved to their vacation home in Carthage where he continued his craft as a local carpenter.
Robert is survived by his son Robert K Carver and wife Gladys, daughters, Lisa Farnum and husband David and Jennifer DeMascio; grandchildren, Alyssa (Rick) Weeks, Dustin (Heather) Farnum, Monica (Shane) Andrews, Samantha (Jon) Robbins and Samuel DeMascio; seven great grandchildren; brother Donald Carver and sister Nancy Davis.
He was predeceased by brothers, Francis Carrol, Alfred Carrol, James Carver, Ronald Carver, sister, Elfreda White and son-in-law David DeMascio.
In accordance with Robert’s wishes, no services will be held.
