I’m supporting Bettyann Sheats for the Maine Senate District 20 seat, where I know she will continue her record as a thoughtful legislator who works hard on the issues that are important to her constituents.

She’s a reliable team player who has been serving her country and, more recently, her state for most of her life. Expanding veterans’ benefits, developing affordable housing, improving broadband internet access, and supporting property tax relief are all among her priorities.

I have known Bettyann for a long time and I’ve always been impressed by her ability to listen to all points of view and to problem-solve and get the job done without looking for media attention. She will represent our district well.

I hope others join me to vote for Bettyann on Nov. 5.
