Tristan Matthew Boyd

SABATTUS – With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Tristan Matthew Boyd, 15, of Sabattus. Tristan tragically left us on Aug. 15, 2024, in a bicycle accident. Born on Dec. 30, 2008, in Brunswick, he was a bright light whose passion for life touched everyone around him.

Tristan was a sophomore at Oak Hill High School and a valued member of the unified basketball team. He had an infectious zest for four-wheeling, loved anything outdoors, and always sought out new adventures. His quick wit and boundless curiosity made him a joy to be around, and he lived life on his own terms with a spirit that was both determined and caring.

Music and technology were two of Tristan’s greatest passions. He could often be found exploring new sounds or tinkering with gadgets, always eager to share his latest discoveries. His enthusiasm for these interests brought a unique spark to his personality and connected deeply with others who shared his interests.

Tristan was the cherished son of Matthew Boyd and Whitney (Nate) Bouchard. He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Elise Boyd who shared an inseparable bond; grandparents Debra Boyd, Ed and Carole Bouchard; aunts Megan (Derrick) Boyd and Magean Bouchard, uncles Troy (Jennifer) and Toby (Carrie) Boyd; cousins Tiffany Boyd, Erin Aulman, Levi and Liam Laflamme, and Harrison and Amelia Boyd.

He was predeceased by his beloved grandfather, Lloyd Boyd, Jr.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all the first responders, bystanders, and hospital staff who showed unwavering efforts of compassion for Tristan.

In honor of Tristan’s vibrant spirit, a celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 1 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Pinette, Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston. We invite all who would like to join us in remembering Tristan.
