To the Editor:
I am supporting Bruce Bryant as a candidate for Senate District 18. Bruce previously served in the Senate and in 2008 supported the Land For Maine’s Future (LMF) funds to purchase land. Through his support and the generous voter approval for LMF funds, the Town of Woodstock purchased 700 acres known as Buck’s Ledge Community Forest. The trails are free and available for anyone.
Bruce’s support for environmental causes is good. This is just one way he has supported local issues. He will do a great job representing our district in the Maine State Senate. Bruce will be a great Senator for our region. He is local, from the Rumford/ Mexico region. He listens to individual concerns and knows the ropes about how to make change, if needed. Please vote for Bruce Bryant for Senate. And vote for the referendum to provide money for trails throughout the state. More trails bring economic development to the region.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
