Parks B. Holcomb Jr.

AUBURN – Parks B. Holcomb Jr., 82, of Norway, passed away peacefully on Aug. 19, 2024, at the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn after recent declining health issues. He was born on May 31, 1942, in Winsted, Connecticut, to the late Parks B. Holcomb, Sr. and Nellie (Speed) Holcomb. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961-1965 aboard submarines and destroyers. He met his wife Diana when she was working summers at a restaurant in Connecticut and told her at first sight that he was going to marry her. That marriage has lasted 57 years.

Parks had many careers including truck driving across country, selling trucks, owning construction and landscaping businesses. Throughout the years Parks and Diana enjoyed sailing, cross-country skiing, biking, and attending fairs, especially the tractor pulls and Woodsmen Day. They spent every summer on islands off the coast of Maine, always with a gift to gab, he made many friends. In 2005 they moved to Norway. He enjoyed his wonderful neighbors and frequented the local coffee shops to catch up on the local news.

He is survived by his wife Diana (Lovely) Holcomb and his favorite niece Rebecca and her husband Michael Kline from Connecticut.

At his request, there will be no funeral service.
