Linda E. Autrey

LEWISTON – Linda E. Autrey, 63, a resident of Jay, passed away peacefully, Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was born Oct. 6, 1960, in Malden, Mass., the daughter of William F. Dickie and Sandra L. (Park) Kempf. She was a graduate of Buckfield High School and established a 25-plus year career in the dental field.

She was an exceptional cook, cheffing up elaborate meals for her family, passing her love for good food to her kids. She was an avid reader, having read every book ever written by Stephen King. She was up for any adventure, a lot of those spent with her sister Colleen, kayaking, road tripping to concerts or just plain relaxing, reading on a beach somewhere. She loved to travel and was fortunate to do so often. Most recently her son Devon made her lifelong dream come true by taking her to Ireland for her birthday. In her last years, she really lived life to the fullest and enjoyed all it had to offer. She was one of a kind and to know her was to love her. She will be missed immensely.

Linda is survived by her three children, Nicole Sylvester and husband Michael of Greene, Dalton Quimby and wife Cassandra of St. Albans, and Devon Autrey and husband Rafael of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; her father, Bill of Lewiston; her sister, Colleen Child and husband Jeff of Leeds, her brother, Troy Dickie and wife Sandra of Turner; six grandchildren, Kaylee, Jack and Scout Sylvester of Greene, and Justin, Craig and Avea Quimby of St. Albans.

She was predeceased by her mother, Sandra; her brother, Alan Dickie; and her companion of 17 years, Donald Keene.
