Mary Anne Schrempf

FARMINGTON – Mary Anne Schrempf, 74, passed away on Sept. 7, 2024, at the Woodlands Memory Care Facility of Farmington. Mary was born on May 24, 1950, in Rumford, to the late Joseph and Mary (Poltorak) White. She was educated in Mexico Schools and graduated with the class of 1968. She worked as a seamstress from 1986 to 1998.

Mary married the love of her life, Stephen Michael Schrempf on June 1, 1979. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and shopping with neighbor, Peggy Levasseur. She also loved to travel and she visited many places; Hawaii with her sister Theresa, Europe with her sister Irene, Germany, U.K., France, Holland and Canada to camp. Mary lived a wonderful life and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen Schrempf, daughter Heidi (Schrempf)Duprey and husband Keri of Rochester, N.H., grandson Jeremiah Flood, sisters: Irene Haynes of Rumford, Theresa North and husband Timothy of Rumford, Susan Drinski and husband Michael of Rangeley, Roseanna Susbury and husband Robert of Byron, Barbara Willhoite and husband Jacky of Newport, a brother John White of Bethel and sisters-in-law Rebecca White and Tammy White of Rumford. She was predeceased by brothers, Arthur, William and Joseph White, a twin sister, Joanne, and brother-in-law Clifford (Rocky) Haynes.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday Sept. 13, 2024, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., at the Meader & Son Funeral Home 3 Franklin Street Rumford.. Interment will be in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
