LauriAnn Doiron
JAY – LauriAnn Doiron, 99, a resident of Jay, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, with her family by her side at Schooner Estates Memory Care in Auburn. She was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Chisholm (Jay), the daughter of Valmore and Rose (Groleau) Duguay. She attended Jay High School and was a graduate of Bernard’s School of Hair Fashion in Lewiston and went on to open LauriAnn’s Beauty Shop in Chisholm.
She married Raoul J. Henry on Oct. 20, 1947, at St. Rose of Lima Church, he passed away on April 6, 1997, six months short of their 50th anniversary. They had four children together. She enjoyed crafting, spending time with family and friends and wintering in St. Cloud, Florida. She later married Peter Doiron of Jay, who passed away in 1998. LauriAnn is survived by her two daughters and spouses Iris and Terry Trask of Old Orchard Beach and Michele and Tom Marble of Wilton and son-in-law Byron Cook from Livermore. She had seven grandchildren: Shawn, Travis, Kristin, Jessica, Brandy, April and Nathan and ten great grandchildren. Her sister Bernice and husband Norman Bilodeau and brother Edmond and wife Pauline Duguay. She was predeceased by her parents, husbands, Raoul and Peter, son Mark Henry, daughter Cyndy Cook, brothers; Ely, Maurice, and Guy Duguay, sisters; Vivian Rea, Loretta Desjardins, Pauline Dumas and Annette Finley.

Visiting hours will be from 4-6 p.m., on Monday, Sept. 16, at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church Street, Jay, Maine. The interment will be held at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery 445 Park Street, Livermore Falls, Maine.
