Rita A. Pinard

AUBURN – Rita A. Pinard, of Auburn, passed away at Clover Manor in Auburn on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024. Rita was in the later stages of Alzheimer’s. She had been a resident since July 2024. Rita grew up in Auburn, the oldest of five siblings.

Rita worked at Clover Manor as a CNA and then transported patients to doctors appointments until her retirement. Rita enjoyed helping others and had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh.

Survivors include her five children; a son, Bruce Pinard and partner Tina Veinott of Buckfield, four daughters, Nancy and husband Roger Lagrange of Lewiston, Sandra and husband David Couillard of Turner, Brenda and husband Maynard Goding of Livermore, and Kim Pinard and partner Linda Mortensen of Lewiston. Rita is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Lagasse of Middleburg, Fla., Joan and husband Gary Brown of Lisbon, two brothers, Robert (Pete) Cote of Lewiston and Raymond Cote and his wife Linda of Lisbon. Besides her parents, Damien and Marieanna Cote, she was predeceased by her grandsons, Damien Pinard, Dana Cook and David Veinott and her granddaughter Kaela Pinard. She was greatly loved and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Visiting hours will be at the funeral home on Thursday Sept. 19, 2024, from 2-4 p.m., followed by a prayer service for Rita at 4 p.m., also at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston at a later date.
