Michael Alton Colby
LEWISTON – Michael Alton Colby passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 9, 2024, at the age of 69, in Lewiston.
Michael was born in Augusta on Nov. 15, 1954 to Virginia Cox (Crane/Colby) and Guy Colby. Michael was raised alongside his brothers Guy and Paul Colby, and Ray Crane, in Livermore Falls by Virginia and Sydney Crane.
He graduated from Livermore Falls High School and continued technical education at CMVTI. He worked at United Parcel Service for 45 years.
In 1979, Michael married Joline St. Amour and welcomed sons Joshua, Jacob, and Nicholas. They built their home in Poland in 1989 and raised the boys there, where Michael enjoyed being involved in the community and coaching youth sports.
Michael enjoyed spending time with his three grandchildren, Jesse Vesel of Norway, and Aiiden Allen and Alexander Colby of Tempe, Ariz.
A service was held for Michael at Saint Phillips in Auburn on Tuesday Sept. 17.
