Richard Jeselskis
RUMFORD – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard “Papa” Jeselskis, 82, at the Rumford Hospital, with his family by his side. He was a resident of Mexico.
Richard was born in Mexico, Maine, on Sept. 19, 1942, and was a son of Joseph and Isabella (Perry) Jeselskis. He was a graduate of Mexico High School. He worked as a supervisor for Diamond Match and Andover Wood Products. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and also loved trapping. He was well known for his sense of humor.
Richard was very proud of his children and grandchildren which include his daughters Brenda Ruff and companion Jeff Gallant of Rumford, Sherri Jeselskis of Mexico, a son Richard “John”and wife Janel of Key West, Fla.; grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister Deborah Buckingham and husband Russell of Florida; his loving companion Eleanor Dunham of Dixfield, the mother of his children Jean Jeselskis of Rumford; and his beloved cat Maddy. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Joseph Jeselskis.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the Rumford Hospital and the Rumford Community Home for their care and kindness for Richard.

Graveside services will be held 3 p.m., Saturday Oct. 12, 2024, at the Demeritt Cemetery in Peru. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home 3 Franklin Street, Rumford, ME.
