Tom Dahlberg
BANGOR – Tom Dahlberg, 77, passed away on Sept. 19, 2024, at Eastern Maine Medical Center. He was born on June 12, 1947, in Buffalo, NY to the late Leonard John and Flossye Owens Dahlberg.
Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Airforce in December of 1969 and proudly served his country for 8 years. After his service in the Airforce, he worked at Bath Iron Works as a Machinist. Afterward, he was a farmer and a Sugar maker. Later in life, he was a handyman that did it all.
In his free time, he deeply enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He would always lend a hand to those who needed it. He enjoyed playing cards like bridge or cribbage. He also hunted deer in his younger years, and he was known for always having a joke to share or would do his best to make you smile or laugh.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Louise and her spouse Jonathan (David) Buchanan; his son Charles and his spouse Elisa Dahlberg; his grandchildren, Dayla Buchanan and Izak Dahlberg; his brother John and his spouse Carol Dahlberg, his nephew John, his spouse Ayala Dahlberg and their children Vivian, Leah and Jayla; his brother Pete and his spouse Anita Dahlberg, his brother Jim and his spouse Deborah Dahlberg, and his grand-niece Ciel Dahlberg.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his niece Kirsten Dahlberg.
Tom’s visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church St. Augusta. His graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta where he will receive military honors.
