WINCHESTER, Va. – Brian Scott Thompson, 55, of Winchester, Va., passed away on Oct. 1, 2024. from a heart attack at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Va. Brian was born May 10, 1969, in Glens Falls, NY and raised in Lisbon and Durham, Maine.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Richard O Thompson. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Martin; sister, Mrs. Jill Thompson Read (Edwin); uncle, Robert Thompson; as well as many cousins and their extended families. He will be greatly missed by his former boss, mentor and friend, John “Cowboy” Andreadakis, and his best friend, Dan Tyler, whose family called Brian “Uncle Brian.”

Brian’s career path began as a traveling chef before he took to the road as a Long Haul Truck Driver, known by his CB handle, “Roqulary”. Brian worked for Icicle Express out of Alexandria, Va. for 25 years. He had a huge heart, and helped after 9-11 by hauling debris out of NYC for months. Brian also had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to crack jokes, and then belly laugh at every one of them.

Due to Brian’s body being decimated by five years of end stage renal disease, diabetes, and the lifesaving donation of his organs to LifeNet Health, his body will be cremated and a burial will be arranged near his daddy in Strout Cemetery, Durham, Maine, in the spring of 2025.
