Gordon E. Severy Jr
BAREFOOT BAY, Fla. – Gordon E. Severy, Jr, 68, of Barefoot Bay, Fla., died unexpectedly on Aug. 12, 2024, at Sebastian Medical Center.
He was born in Lewiston on Oct. 17, 1955, to Gordon E Severy, Sr., and Mary (Austin) Ward. He grew up in North Fryeburg and lived in Auburn for many years before moving to his final home in Florida.
In his younger years he worked on a farm milking cows and baling hay, later he worked at Gates and at Union Camp (now International Paper.)
Gordon and his wife, Angie, were members of the Eagles, Orioles and Moose Clubs and could often be found playing bar poker with friends there. Gordon enjoyed his motorcycle trips with Danny and Penny, spending time with family and friends, antique shopping, sci-fi movies, comedy shows and listening to live music at the local hangouts. He also enjoyed watching shows about customizing motorcycles, cars and trucks and was super excited that Danny was customizing an old Chevy pickup for him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Mary; his sister, Rosie, brother, Bruce, and his wife of 24 years, Dot.
He is survived by his wife, Angie; siblings, Danny, Ricky, Susie, Tina, Jeannie and half-brothers Neil and Nicholas. Gordon also leaves behind children, Billie Jo, Chris, Tonia, Andrew, Ray, Lori-Ann, Charity and Matt; grandchildren, Wynter, Montana, Bosten, Michael, Raven, Shane, Alena, Heath, Shailor, Devin, Xander, Jesse, Kimberly, Michael, Ariana, Josh, Jake, Gavin, Grant, Gage; and great-grandchildren, October, Safyre, Levi and Colt, Emmi and River. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews; and his dog, TT.
A potluck memorial luncheon will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 192 State Rd., West Bath. Memorial services in Florida will be held at a date to be determined later.
