Winnifred “Winnie” Eva (Pillsbury) Black
LISBON FALLS – Winnifred “Winnie” Eva (Pillsbury) Black of Ridge Road, Lisbon Falls passed away on Sept. 25, 2024 on her 94th birthday at Marshwood nursing home from post thyroid surgery complications preformed in August.
She was born on Sept. 25, 1930, a daughter of Stacy and Eva (Carville) Pillsbury and was a Lisbon High School graduate.
Winnie married Hervey S. Black on Dec. 24, 1949 and he passed away July 16, 1988 at the age of 58.
She babysat children for many years, then, after completing her CNA certification, she proceeded to work at Montello Manner and Sarah Frye for most of her years and also worked in the textile mill in Lisbon.
She is survived by her three daughters, Elaine Wagg of Bowdoin, Emily Cabral and significant other Charles Stubbs of Sabattus, Ellen Bradstreet and husband Mike of Sabattus, son, Paul Black and wife Judy of Lisbon Falls; a sister, Helen Card, brother, Albert Pillsbury and wife Johna all from Lisbon Falls, a brother-in-law, George Black of Yarmouth, sister-in-law, Peggy West of Oklahoma; along with numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, Eskel Heuer.
She was predeceased by her parents; loving husband, Hervey; sons-in-law John Wagg II, Robert Cabral; granddaughter, Rebecca Starr Cabral; and great-granddaughter, Logan Marr Wagg.
Graveside committal services will be held on Friday Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sabattus.
Arrangements are under the care of Crosman Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Lisbon Falls, ME 04252.
