In a previous letter I mentioned that I don’t want an elected official who will fight for me. Rather I want individuals who will collaborate and find reasonable solutions to the complex problems we face in Maine.
Case in point is my support for Sen. Peggy Rotundo, who should be reelected to District 21 of the Maine Senate.
From her early days on the Lewiston School Board through countless years building consensus on state budgets, Peggy has the qualities I look for in any candidate — smart, a tireless worker, and an open-minded consensus builder. But it only works if we send those to the Legislature with the same desire to do what is best for Mainers today and an eye toward our future needs.
Sen. Peggy Rotundo has both my respect and my vote.
