SOUTH PARIS — The 11th annual Jack-O’-Lantern Spectacular is set for 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, Oct. 17-19, at the McLaughlin Garden and Homestead, 97 Main St.

There will be more than 300 carved pumpkins and intricate displays featuring a “circus” theme. Outside, in the garden, guests will experience the displays of pumpkins and lights, while inside the homestead’s historic barn visitors can create circus-themed souvenirs in a photo booth. There will be complimentary popcorn and hot chocolate.

People can carve their own pumpkins to be included as a part of the displays. Fully gutted and ready-to-carve pumpkins will be available at the homestead from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Tuesday, Oct. 15, and Wednesday, Oct. 16.

There is no fee or advanced registration required to participate.

Proceeds from the event provide funding to sustain the garden grounds and support the range of programs offered each season.

The event’s 2024 season sponsor is MaineHealth Stephens Hospital. Its event sponsors are Northeast Bank, Norway Savings Bank, Oxford County Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Oxford Plaza, Perfect Stitch Embroidery, and Ripley & Fletcher Ford.

Admission is $8 per person, or $15 for two, and there is no charge for children 2 and younger. People may pay upon entry; both cash and credit cards are accepted.
