Have people seen the TikTok video about the man who ordered his exact Walmart shopping cart of 45 items from two years ago, and was dumbfounded when he saw the price tag with almost 400% increase? Even if people haven’t, I’m sure they can share in his astonishment.
Everywhere we look costs are rising, especially here in Maine: electricity, food, taxes, rent. How are hardworking Mainers supposed to stay afloat?
I am thankful that Rep. Laurel Libby has decided to run for a third term. She is a principled candidate and a mom. She understands what it’s like to stretch a dollar.
I am a mother, too, and it’s not about politics, it’s about common sense. We can’t keep watching the cost of everything rise and think it’s just going to be okay.
We need real change up in Augusta, and I believe that Laurel Libby can bring that change.
