NORWAY — The Western Maine Art Group (WMAG), a local association of artists and creators based in Norway, annually hosts a monthly series of shows that provides members and the public the opportunity to display and sell their creative work at the Matolcsy Art Center (MAC).
The MAC, conveniently located in a historic building on Main Street in downtown Norway, is an ideal space for artists and creators to present their work. The monthly theme for this November is abstraction, and the WMAG is pleased to open its arms to submissions for display. Abstract work, regardless of size, shape, or medium, will be considered for inclusion in the show.
The curators for the show will be at the MAC (480 Main Street) from 2-5 p.m. on October 29 to receive submissions. Hangable artwork must be ready to hang. The curators plan to install the show in time for a grand opening as part of Norway’s fabulous First Friday festivities that will commence at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1.
We invite artists and creators to consider submitting work for display, and we welcome all to the First Friday opening and to visit the MAC throughout the month of November to experience abstraction.
