AREA — An upbeat, unique business has just opened in Oxford Hills and will focus on tools for positive action, humor, laughter, joy, stress relief, and work-life balance. Established in 2003 in York,  Happiness Is…, a coaching, consulting, training and speaking company, has worked with individuals, groups, businesses, nonprofits and communities worldwide.

Founder, Joyologist and Success Coach, KC Christensen, who returned to the Paris-Norway area this past year, is excited to reopen in the local community and offer customized services to Oxford Hills residents and businesses. To celebrate the “Grand Reopening” and changing of the seasons, she is offering a free 30-minute Life or Business Coaching special session to individuals or businesses in Oxford Hills throughout the Fall.

The Happiness Is… office will be based in downtown Norway, but currently the free, confidential Coaching session can be conducted privately at one’s business site in Oxford Hills, in a local café or for those with childcare, scheduling or transportation issues, the complimentary session can be conducted over the phone or Zoom for those anywhere in the country. Reservations for the Free Session is a must, as space is limited.

A former CEO, Christensen has over 40 years of business development, nonprofit management, community building, human service, fundraising, staff training, marketing and event planning experience. She was the publisher of a community magazine in Yarmouth, a Voice Artist, Publicist, and PR Director for authors and artists.

Most recently, she served as the Paris Parks, Recreation & Community Development Director. She returned to Oxford Hills last year because of her fond memories and community connections here, leading the Oxford Hills YMCA as their Executive Director and co-founder of “Nonprofit Partners” in Norway.
