Jared Goulette, “The Color Wizard,” paints a giant mural Thursday afternoon on the wall of the Consolidated Communications building facing the municipal parking lot next to 66 Ash St. in Lewiston. Before beginning, he painted the wall white and added a doodle grid that can be seen at the bottom left of the photo. The doodles are an underlying layer that guides the scale and location of each aspect of the preliminary mural design. There are another pair of eyes on the other side of the building that he painted in the spring. A much larger wall to the left of the photo will be painted this spring with “a colorful, abstract homage to the industrial history of Lewiston” according to Goulette.
