Wallace Legere
RUMFORD – Wallace Legere, 88, died Tuesday Oct. 15, 2024, at the Rumford Hospital. He was a resident of Grandview Circle in Mexico.
Wallace was born in Rumford, on Sept. 12, 1936, and was a son of Octave and Theresa (Albert) Legere. He served in the National Guard and worked for Dead River as a truck driver. He was a member of the Napoleon Ouellette Post #24, American Legion, Elks, Eagles and Robert Shand Post #1641, VFW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and four-wheeling.
Wallace was married in Rumford, on April 11, 1959, to June Knowles who died in Rumford, on July 30, 2017.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Martin and husband Tim of Fairfield, grandchildren, Kara and Jacob Martin, great-grandchildren, Logan Nadeau and Parker French, a sister Yvonne Merrill and husband George of Florida and a brother Roland Legere and wife Diane of Arizona, his special friend Mary Jones of Mexico. He was predeceased by brothers, Dennis, Robert and Norman and sisters Jean Plourde and Lillian Henry.

Friends are invited to call at the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin Street, Rumford, on Saturday Nov. 2, 2024, from 2-4 p.m., followed by a brief service at 4 p.m.
