
Sherrall F. St. Laurent
LEWISTON – It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Sherrall Fay St. Laurent, 84. Sherrall passed away on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024 in the ICU unit at CMMC Lewiston, Maine with her son Gary and Laurie, as well as her daughter Karen’s voice across the miles to comfort her at her bedside.
Sherrall was born in Lewiston, April 15, 1940, the daughter of Daniel and Elnora Nuzzo. On June 29, 1963, she married her loving husband Ernest L. St.
Laurent who passed away June 16, 2017.
Sherrall had an amazing work ethic as a long time employee of Bates Mill and other manufactures.
The onset of dementia and anxiety robbed her of fulfilling latter years of her life. Before health issues took over, Sherrall enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing cards with family and friends, holiday gatherings, soap operas, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and the Red Sox, which she watched faithfully with Ernie by her side.
Sherrall was cherished for her incredible love and commitment to her family.
Sherrall is survived by her siblings Gloria Parker (the late Alden Parker) of Auburn, Teri Poussard (Art) of Sabattus; her son Gary St. Laurent (Fiancée Laurie) of Turner, daughters Deborah Munsey of Livermore Falls, Wendy Barry of Farmington, Karen Lawson (Matthew) of Hollister, Calif., stepdaughter Linda Parlin of Madison.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Michelle Munsey, Malissa Hicks, Joanne Barry, Roger Plourde Jr., Cristine Darling, Jessica Charest, Heather Michaud (Michael), Scott Munsey Jr. and Eric Savage, Amy Parlin, Amber Snell, Kalani Markle (Pilar) of Novato, Calif., Kaili Markle, Natalie Lawson both of Hollister Calif., Tony Markle of Haleiwa, Hawaii; great grandchild Kalani Mato; 18 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren; sister-in-law Jane Orino of Chester, Va. Sherrall adored her many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Sherrall was predeceased by her siblings Dolores Kudlick, Darlene Marin, Jeanne Coyle (Jim), Donna Walton (Mike), Richard (Anita) and Daniel (Nikky) Nuzzo; son Scott Munsey; granddaughter Sonya Munsey; stepson, Ernest St. Laurent Jr.; sisters-in-law Nikky Nuzzo, Lisette Caron, Anita Nuzzo, brothers-in-law Alden Parker, William “Bill” Orino, Mike Walton, James Coyle, Emile St. Laurent.
Our heartfelt gratitude to the nurses in ICU at CMMC and Helping Hands for the loving homecare prior to residing at the nursing home.
A special “thank you” to Michelle Dupuis, Sherrall’s roommate, for the unending love, concern, and friendship given to Sherrall the past few years.
Family and friends, please gather to celebrate Sherrall’s life with services Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Mausoleum at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Enter via the Deer Rd. Lewiston, entrance.
