THS vs. Wiscasset, Oct. 9
Last Wednesday, the Telstar Rebels Boys’ High School Soccer team headed down to Wiscasset and played a hard-fought contest with Telstar, coming up with a 3-0 victory. Mason Perks scored the first goal for the Rebels 18 minutes in, off a Cyrus Mills assist. Travis Decareau dribbled up from defense to score unassisted, making it 2-0 Telstar before the end of the second half. Rebels’ goalie Adam Stephenson showed up big for Telstar, making 6 saves in the game, one coming off a penalty kick, en route to his clean sheet. Freshman Maceo Bartlett put away a penalty kick for Telstar in the second half with 4 minutes left to go, adding the third goal.

THS vs. Pine Tree, Oct. 10
Telstar boys soccer hosted Pine Tree Academy the following Thursday, looking to avenge a 2-0 loss in their first game of the season, and what a match it was! Cyrus Mills started the scoring off for Telstar, assisted by Mason Perks. The boys continued to dominate possession and move the ball around, creating more havoc in the box. Mason Perks was able to loop a ball up and into the top corner, adding to the score, making it 2-0 Telstar. Maceo Bartlett found Cyrus Mills on a run-through, and Cyrus calmly put one past the keeper, making it 3-0 Telstar. At the end of the first half, Rebels goalie Adam Stephenson had 5 saves. In the second half, Pine Tree came out hot, but the Rebels were ready. After a good stretch of play, Cyrus Mills put the last goal of the game in, making it 4-0 Telstar. Adam Stephenson recorded 8 saves in his clean sheet.

Rebels vs. Vinylhaven, Oct. 12
The Rebels hosted Vinylhaven on a very windy, sunny Saturday afternoon. Cameron Wright started the scoring for Telstar off a deflection that popped in the net 40 seconds into the game. Cyrus Mills was assisted by Mason Perks a minute after, to make it 2-0 Rebels. A minute later, Cyrus then scored another unassisted, bringing it to 3-0. Freshman Nick Lapointe turned it into 4-0 after being found by Mason Perks. Mason Perks scored unassisted a few minutes later, putting the Rebels up 5-0. Jake Zolad scored twice, and was assisted twice by Cyrus to make it 7-0 before half. Cyrus Mills put in the last goal to end the game in the second half, 8-0 Telstar. Adam Stephenson had 2 saves in the clean sheet.
