Anselme Aime Michaud

AUBURN – Anselme Aime Michaud, 86, of Lewiston, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, at Clover Manor Health Care.

He was born on July 16, 1938, in Squattech, Temiscouata, Canada, the son of Edouard and Marie Anna Michaud.

Anselme also known as “Sam” was a member of the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Council #10019.

He was a talented musician who played the guitar and harmonica. He also enjoyed woodworking, dancing, playing cards, sightseeing and visits with his grandchildren who enjoyed his music and the songs he created for them.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Ann; three sons, Mark Dubey of Lewiston, Jeffrey Dubey and his wife Christine of Lewiston and Sam Michaud and his wife Marie of Greene; his grandchildren, Devin Michaud and his fiancé Jamie, Kadin Michaud and his wife Sabrina and Preston Michaud; one great-grandson, Wesley Sam; and one brother, Maurice Michaud.

He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers Paul, Henry, Roger, Joe and Andrew.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Clover Manor Health Care for being so compassionate and caring for Anselme.

Sam will be greatly missed by all. “You are My Sunshine”.

Funeral services honoring Anselme’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m., at the Fortin and Pinette Group in Lewiston. Committal services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m., until the time of the service at the Fortin and Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
