Donna E. Moreau
LEWISTON – Donna E. Moreau, 80, a resident of Litchfield, passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024, at Marshwood Center.
She was born June 26, 1944, in Canton, the daughter of Donald M. Brown and Hazel (Hines) Brown. She was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School, class of 1962, and receiving her Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from Farmington State Teacher College and her master’s in Library Science from Clarion University in Pennsylvania.
On Aug. 20, 1966, at St Rose of Lima Church in Jay, she married Leonard F. Moreau. She was a home economics teacher in Brewer and Brunswick High Schools and a librarian at Windham High School. Donna was a member of the Maine Teachers Association and the Winthrop United Methodist Church. She loved cats, scrapbooking, sewing, reading, baking and decorating cakes, dancing with her true love and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard Moreau of Litchfield; two sons, Richard Moreau and wife Catherine of Lewiston, Scott Moreau and wife Sonia of Bronx, N.Y.; one grandson, Zachary Meert of Livermore Falls.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls. Visiting hours are 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Maine Veterans Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Ave., Augusta.
