John David Pinto
AUBURN – Our beloved John David Pinto, 72, of Norway, Maine, passed away peacefully on Nov, 2, 2024, after a valiant three-year battle with pancreatic cancer. John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, teacher, coach, colleague and friend.
John was born on April 14, 1952, in Newport, R.I. to parents John D. Pinto and Annie Crooks. He attended Floral Park Memorial High School and graduated from St. Francis University in Pennsylvania.
John leaves behind his loving wife Suzanne; daughters Kursten TenHoor of Yarmouth, Alexandra Noriega and son-in-law Pablo Noriega of Boulder, Colo.; grandchildren Caroline TenHoor, Kate TenHoor, Penelope Noriega, and Mateo Noriega who he cherished dearly; sisters Alice Power of Floral Park, N.Y. and Patricia Pinto from Manhattan. He was predeceased by grandparents James and Elizabeth Pinto; his parents John and Annie Pinto; and son-in-law Christopher TenHoor.
A service will be held on Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, with a private burial at #4 Cemetery in Lovell. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 45 Main St., South Paris.
