Thanksgiving

OXFORD — Hosanna New Testament Church is hosting a Community Thanksgiving dinner on Nov 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The church is located at 109 Schoolhouse Road in Oxford.

Theater
NORWAY — The  Community Children’s Theater is busy rehearsing their performance of Sally K. Albrecht and Jay Althouse’s musical, “Snow Way Out,” on Saturday, November 23 at 2 p.m. at the Second Congregational Church, 205 Main Street, Norway. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. In the show, Jack and Jackie Frost have just finished renovating Winter Wonderland, a fabulous North Country resort. Winter.
The staff, the Frostbites, are busily getting everything ready for the grand reopening festivities. Guests start to arrive, but, sadly, there’s just no snow! Everyone is getting anxious. At last, the final special guest, Old Man Winter arrives-and with him the much-anticipated precipitation! The production is free and open to the public. A light reception will follow the production. Donation baskets will be available to those who wish to financially support the Children’s Community Theater program.

Fairs

OTISFIELD — There will be a Christmas Fair on Saturday, December 7, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, 231 Rayville Road (off Route 121) Otisfield. We are selling hand-crafted arts and crafts, hand-knitted and crocheted items, Christmas Wreaths, and Greens at reasonable prices. A white elephant table filled with “Bric-a-Brac,” and attic treasures is back for bargain hunters.

Check out our “World-Famous” Cookie Walk! Just fill a tin with assorted Christmas cookies and pay the price on the tin, but you must be able to put the lid back on once the tin is filled. Our bakers pride themselves on their creativity and prowess in the kitchen. We will have homemade breads, pies, bars, sweets, beans, chowder, and Soups for sale. So come early, stay late, and enjoy the items you buy, but especially enjoy the people you meet. Be sure to bring a
friend. All proceeds from the Christmas Fair will go to our Scholarship Fund.

MECHANIC FALLS — A Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, November 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Mechanic Falls Church of the Nazarene, at 5 Oak Street in Mechanic Falls.

MECHANIC FALLS — Several members of the Ladies Guild of Our Lady of Ransom Church, Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Mechanic Falls are pictured preparing for the annual Christmas Craft Fair. The Fair will be held on Saturday, December 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church hall at 117 Elm St. In addition to a variety of crafts and gifts, there will be a bake sale, an awesome basket raffle, and a luncheon.
