Wade William Lee
OTISFIELD – Wade William Lee, 67, of Otisfield peacefully passed away on Nov. 17, 2024, at home with family by his side. Born on Oct. 4, 1957, Wade was a man of exceptional character, known for his kindness, selflessness, and generosity. He dedicated his life to making special occasions memorable for others and was a pillar of strength and support to those around him. His daughter and granddaughter were his pride and joy, the apple of his eye.
Wade proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1975 to 1979 as a Sergeant and Amtrac Crewman. His military service took him to various locations including Camp Lejeune, Okinawa, and the Philippines. He was recognized as an expert rifleman, embodying the corps’ values of honor and commitment.
Following his military service, Wade ventured into civilian life, initially working as a certified barber before joining Don Agren in appliance repair, a field in which he worked until his retirement. His work ethic and dedication to craftsmanship were evident in every aspect of his career.
Wade’s passions included hunting, fishing, and building things. He was particularly skilled at tinkering, even constructing his own backhoe. His hobbies also included metal detecting for old coins and spending time at camp in Aziscohos, which brought he and his family much joy.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Boucher and her husband, Luke Boucher of Monmouth; sister, Dori Curtis of Otisfield; granddaughter, McKenzie Boucher of Monmouth; nieces, Brittnie, Melissa, and Erin; nephews, Tyler and Adam; and special brother-in-law, Bill Curtis of Otisfield, along with many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Wade was preceded in death by his mother, Louise M. Haas; father, Hebert B. Lee Sr.; stepfather, Clifford R. Haas; and brothers, Hebert B. Lee Jr. and Robert E. Lee.
The family would like to thank nurse Tammy with Andwell for her support and compassion.
A graveside service with military honors will be held in the spring at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, with the date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Andwell Hospice House in Auburn, honoring Wade’s life and his commitment to helping others.
