AUBURN – Lorraine C. Desjardin, 95, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her beloved family in the early evening of November 18th, 2024. Lorraine was born and raised in Chicago, where she developed a love for dancing,

cooking, and being social with family and friends. She worked alongside her husband, Daniel, in his podiatrist office, exemplifying dedication and partnership. Their home was a welcoming haven, always filled with neighborhood children, as Lorraine’s warmth and hospitality were well known.

Her greatest joy came from being around her four children, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Lorraine often said she was the richest woman in the world because of her family, finding immense happiness in their company.

A deeply faith-filled woman, Lorraine was a longstanding and devoted member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church community. Her faith and love for her family were the cornerstones of her life.

Lorraine is predeceased by her husband, Daniel, and her son, Timothy. She is survived by her son, Greg, his wife Mary, and their two children, Ali and Anna; her daughter, Kate, her husband Mark, and their children, Sam and Ellen; and her daughter, Dorothy, and her children, Andrea, Morgan, and William.

Visitation to honor Lorraine’s remarkable life will be held at Pinette, Dillingham, and Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewison, 4 to 7 pm, Friday, November 29. Her funeral will be at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn at 11 am, Saturday, November 30. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Lorraine’s memory to Sacred Heart Church, reflecting her lifelong commitment to her faith and community.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 4 – 7 pm at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway, Lewiston, ME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11 am Sacred Heart Church, 8 Sacred Heart Place Auburn, ME. Burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery will be private.
