VOORHEES, N.J. – Juanita Bouchard (Lee), 73, of Blackwood, N.J. (formerly Jay, Maine), passed away peacefully at Virtua Voorhees Hospital on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, surrounded by family. Juanita was born on Feb. 13, 1951, in Livermore Falls, daughter of Jack Lee and Rita (Gagnon) Lee Fuller. She was the devoted wife of Kenneth Bouchard, celebrating 43 years of marriage and friendship before his passing in 2018. Juanita was a graduate of Livermore Falls high school and earned a Bachelor of Education from University of Maine Farmington in 1972. She proudly served as a teacher for 33 years until her retirement from Livermore Falls school district in 2013. She was also committed to supporting the advancement of young girls through the American Legion Girls State program for over 10 years. Juanita liked to stay active both physically and socially and believed in supporting her community and volunteering her time. While in Maine, Juanita was an active member of George Bunten Post 10 America Legion Auxiliary, and she loved working in the kitchen on Bingo nights. She particularly liked attending statewide events during her time as Madam Commander. While in New Jersey, she enjoyed meeting with friends at her local senior center and volunteering with the Square Circle Sportsman’s Club Auxiliary where she proudly served on the planning committee for annual events. Juanita loved spending time with her family, doting on her grandchildren, going shopping, dining out, and visiting local museums and theaters. She also had a passion for baking, especially for the holidays, and her delectable pies, cookies and brownies will be fondly remembered. Juanita is survived by her son Paul, daughter-in-law Gerrie (Lane), grandchildren Dexter and Daphne, of Laurel Springs, N.J., and son Keith of Blackwood, N.J. Juanita is preceded in death by husband Kenneth Bouchard, father Jack Lee, mother Rita (Gagnon) Lee Fuller, stepfather Maurice Fuller, sister Linda (Lee) Tilton, and brother Kenneth Lee.
