Nelson Wentworth

AUBURN – Nelson Wentworth, 86, of Lisbon Falls, died early Sunday morning, Dec. 1, 2024, at Bolster Heights Residential Care Facility in Auburn.

He was born on July 5, 1938, in Portland, the son of Lincoln and Leona Wentworth. He attended Casco schools, graduating from Casco High School, and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

On July 19, 1967, he married Sylvia (Sally) Adams locally, but soon afterwards, settled in Lisbon Falls.

He was a “jack of all trades”, car repair, small engine repair, welding, and more. He retired from carpentry work at Bradco Chair Company in Lisbon in 2000.

Nelson is survived by his five sons, Frank, Tom, Mike, Dean and Lincoln, a sister, Betty Lou, and twelve grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and wife Sally, on July 18, 2019.

A time of memorial visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at the Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road in Casco.

Private interment will be at the Edes Falls Cemetery in Naples. The family wants to thank the staff at Bolster Heights Residential Care Facility and Andwell Health Partners for their support. Condolences and tributes may be shared at http://www.hallfuneralhome.net.
