Roland E. Patneaude
RUMFORD – Roland E. Patneaude, 69, died Nov. 29, 2024, at his residence on Prospect Avenue in Rumford.
Roland was born in Rumford, on April 14, 1955, and was a son of Roland C. and Joyce (Woods) Patneaude. He was a graduate of Mexico High School and owned and operated Roland’s Automotive in Mexico since 1988. He was a member and president of the Mexico Lion’s Club, a member of the Roxbury ATV Club, Roxbury Fire Dept and the Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed race cars, working on cars, hunting, and fishing.
Roland was married in Mexico, ME on Sept. 7, 1974, to Gloria Daigle who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include his daughter, Renee Hodsdon and husband Roy of Roxbury, sisters, Wanda Merrill and husband Wilfred of Pennsylvania, Patricia Choroszy and husband Paul of Saco, Kathleen Ronan and husband Dennis of Lewiston, brothers, Stevie of Dixfield, Matthew and companion Doreen of Roxbury, Jeffrey and wife Darla of Rumford, Gregory and wife Tasha of Roxbury, Michael and wife Missy of Mexico, and a brother Joe and companion Kathleen of Mexico, grandchildren, Morgan Theriault, Chase and Chloe Lill, stepsister Amy Proctor and husband Eric. He was predeceased by a daughter Melissa Patneaude and her companion Christopher Lill, and a brother Robbie.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mexico Lion’s Club, 33 Roxbury Road in Mexico on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, from 1-3 p.m. Burial in the Spring. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home 3 Franklin Street, Rumford.
