Diane Patricia (Boutin) Fish
FLORIDA – After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Diane passed away peacefully in her home in Florida on Dec. 5, 2024. Diane was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Delano and Jacqueline Boutin.
Diane “Di” spent her childhood in Lewiston, and graduated from St. Dominics High School. She attended the University of New Hampshire, graduating with a degree in hotel and restaurant management. While managing a hotel in Boothbay Harbor, Di met the man she would marry. John Fish and Diane married in the fall of 1990 at Sugarloaf Mountain.
Diane and John spent their spring and summers in Maine running their hotel and boating businesses in Boothbay. She managed the hotel for several decades before selling it in 2020.
During their off-season, Di and John spent their days enjoying time with their two children, hiking, and taking extensive cruises on the family boat in Florida. She also had many friends – from high school, college, Boothbay and Florida. Her husband of 34 years was her best friend and her dedicate caregiver for the past five years.
Diane is survived by her husband, John and their two children – Zach and Taylor. She is also survived by her sisters: Denise and Deborah; her brothers, David, Don, and Dan, and their families.
A celebration of Diane’s life will be held in Maine in the Spring 2025.
