Daniel Sonnenfeld
SOUTH PARIS – Daniel Sonnenfeld, 45, of South Paris, entered into eternal rest at his home on Dec. 10, 2024. He drifted away peacefully in his sleep after a courageous battle with cardiac complications.
He was born in Mission Viejo, Calif. on April 9, 1979 and grew up in a military environment in California and Massachusetts. He made and maintained many friendships throughout the United States. The family eventually settled in South Paris, after his Dad’s retirement from the Marines.
Danny is survived by his son Brendan; and his parents, Otto and Coleen. He also leaves behind aunts Sheila, Zdenka, Diane, uncle Geoff; and innumerable cousins. He was deeply saddened and affected by the loss of his brother Jason, who was his compadre, his Grammy Elizabeth, andcousin Samir, who tragically passed in a motorcycle accident. He was also predeceased by Grampy Otto Sr., and mourned with his family, the losses of maternal grandparents, Charles and Rita; aunts, Donna and Debra, and uncles John and Patrick.
Danny was passionate about computers and secured a position with a local computer support service. He continuously received personal accolades from friends and acquaintances for whom he has provided free and paid computer support. He also expanded his experiences through employment which involved community action, car dealership, and disaster recovery. His final employer was Pike Industries, a construction organization. He enjoyed that work very much, especially after realizing that his heart was failing.
He once said that, “At least a part of me will always remain within the highways that I helped build and maintain.” Danny leaves us heartbroken.
A viewing has been held privately. A gravesite service will take place in the spring. Details will be forthcoming. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 45 Main St., South Paris.
