Thomas Lee Freeman, Sr.
AUBURN – Thomas Lee Freeman, Sr., a much beloved husband and father, passed away on Dec. 12, 2024. He was born on May 20, 1934, to parents Carroll W. Freeman and Catherine Normanly.
Tom served many years as Eucharist Minister at St. Patrick’s Church. He volunteered at SCORE, was a steward at Thorncrag, volunteered at Mt. Hope Cemetery and St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store.
Tom and Elaine enjoyed many conference trips with Geiger. They also enjoyed trips to Ireland, Hawaii, Aruba and Jamaica.
He and his family enjoyed camping, kayaking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son Tom.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife Elaine of 64 years; his son Thomas Jr. of Naples; brother-in-law Thomas Hachey of Topsham, sister-in-law Anne Foley and husband Edward of Weymouth, Mass., sister-in-law Linda Leiva and husband Jose of Lewiston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers John, Carroll and wife Doris, Harold and wife Marjorie, William, his sister Vera Breen and husband Richard as well as his brother-in-law James Hachey and sister-in-law Jane Hachey.
Per Tom’s request, there will be no services at this time.
