Linda Lee (Gilley) Campbell
BOSTON, Mass. – Linda Lee (Gilley) Campbell, 67, passed away in Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, Mass. on Nov. 25, 2024, lovingly surrounded by family members.
Linda was born on Jan. 13, 1957, to Lorraine (Whitten) Gilley and James “Jimmy” Gilley Sr. in Augusta, Maine. After graduating from Monmouth Academy in 1974, she spent her working years at Twin Bridge Market, the Litchfield Country Store, and the Libby Tozier School where she used her cooking and baking talents in the school’s kitchen.
Throughout her life, Linda enjoyed spending time making crafts, going on camping trips, attending the Litchfield Fair and events with her grandchildren, and baking delicious treats to share. She loved gatherings where she could spend time enjoying the company of her large extended family.
Linda was predeceased by her parents Jimmy and Lorraine, and her fiance Reggie MacFarland. She is survived by her son, Jim Campbell and his wife Jennifer of Litchfield; grandchildren, Ben, Colby, and Aiden of Litchfield; step-grandchildren Dylan Leavitt of Oakland, and Destiny Barrett of Litchfield; one step-great grandchild Jack Leavitt of Oakland; sister Donna Gilley Tims and husband Greg Jones of Hartford, brothers James Gilley Jr, and wife Patti of Berwick, Gary Gilley and wife Kathryn of Vienna,and Jeffrey Gilley and wife Peggy of Monmouth; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Jan. 18, 2025 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Cobbosseecontee Snowmobile Club, 318 Spears Corner Rd., West Gardiner, Maine.
