BUCKFIELD – Donald F. Kleeberger Jr., 75, of Buckfield, passed away Dec. 20, 2024, at Mane Medical Center after a brief illness. Don was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 22, 1949 to parents Donald Kleeberger Sr. and Virginia Warren.
Don attended local schools, graduating from Buckfield High School, Class of 1968. After high school, Don proudly served in the US Navy until 1969. Don married his beautiful wife, Belinda Jones, on Dec. 30, 2000. He worked at Bessey Foods in Buckfield, and then retired from Pioneer Plastics after 35 years.
Don was a member of the American Legion, John D. Long Post #58. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, dice, and scrabble. Don did frequently look forward to his weekly pool games with the guys. Most of all, Don was born to be a Papa. He adored his grandchildren, and would dote on them with every opportunity.
Don is survived by his wife Belinda Kleeberger of Buckfield; brother James Kleeberger Sr. and wife Margaret of Garner, NC; nephews James Kleeberger Jr. and companion Tina McNeil of Dallas, Ga., Derek Brooks of Canton, nieces Abby Jones of Buckfield, and Sami Jones of Quincy, Mass., Lorraine Matroo and husband Ron of Garner, NC; brother-in-law Kirk Jones and wife Kathy Saarinen of Buckfield, sister-in-law Candy Jones and husband Tim of Buckfield; mother-in-law Mary Jones of Buckfield; and special cousin Colby Brackett of Buckfield.
There will be a funeral service for Don at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025 at the Buckfield Community Church, 76 Turner St., Buckfield.
