Claire T. Goudreau
FARMINGTON – Claire T. Goudreau, 96, of Rumford, passed away on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024 at Edgewood Rehab and Living Center.
She was born in Rumford, on March 29, 1928, the daughter of the late George W. and Marie Anne (Roy) Goudreau.
She grew up in Rumford, attended local area schools and graduated from Stephens High School.
Throughout her career she worked in the Medical Records Department of the Rumford Community Hospital working her way up to being the director of the department.
Claire held a special place in her family among her siblings and was a well loved aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Claire was a lifelong communicant of St. Athanasius and St. John’s Church.
She is survived by two brothers, Robert Goudreau of Woburn, Mass., and Rev. Paul Goudreau of Hudson, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Jeanne Tozier, Pauline Goudreau and Priscilla Dupill; three brothers Rev. George Goudreau, Maurice Goudreau and Rev. Joseph Leo Goudreau.
A Funeral Mass honoring Claire’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Parish of the Holy Savior, 126 Maine Avenue, Rumford, Maine. Committal services will be held later in the Spring at St. John’s Cemetery. Arrangements by Thibault Remembrance Center, 250 Penobscot Street, Rumford, Maine.
