Colombe J. (Mailhot) Lavalliere
LEWISTON – Colombe J. (Mailhot) Lavalliere, 99, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully Sunday morning at Montello Manor in Lewiston. She was born in Lewiston on Sept. 23, 1925, the daughter of Joseph Mailhot Jr. and Antoinette (Perrault) Mailhot. She attended local schools and although she didn’t graduate high school, she was awarded her GED on Nov. 20, 1989. Colombe married Gerard L. Lavalliere on Dec. 29, 1956, and they raised their family in Lewiston. Gerry passed on July 11, 1999.
She is survived by her children, Guy Lavalliere, Marc Lavalliere and his wife Aline, Lise Murray (and Ken Alden), Paul Lavalliere and his wife Ann, all of Lewiston, her beloved (baby) sister, Connie Labbay, grandchildren, Shannon, Scott, Nicole, Katie and Melissa, and her great grandchildren Delia, Avery, Everett, Wyatt, Isla and Dylan. She was predeceased by her brother Ray Mailhot, her sister Denise (Mailhot) Schreiber and daughter-in-law Mary (Adams) Lavalliere.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Montello Manor for providing Mom with such loving care and to the Andwell Hospice team who were so kind and helpful to the family.
The family invites you to a time of visitation on Thursday, January 16, from 4-7 p.m. at The Fortin & Pinette Group Auburn, 217 Turner St., Auburn.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday January 17, at 10 a.m. at Prince of Peace (Holy Cross) Church, 1080 Lisbon Street, Lewiston.
