Elizabeth “Liz” Morton
RUMFORD – Elizabeth “Liz” Morton, 82, left this world to be with our Lord and Savior and to be reunited with her beloved grandson Brian who left us too soon.
Liz was born in Rumford on Nov. 18, 1941, to Kenneth Knapp and Helen Ferrin Knapp. She grew up in Byron, alongside her brothers and sisters. She loved the country and the simple lifestyle. She worked many jobs, Decoster’s, Woodstock school, and Hannaford, but her favorite was raising her five children who she loved dearly.
Liz enjoyed panning for gold, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who affectionately called her “Nana Bear”. Later in life she met and married her beloved husband, Dan, with whom she has shared many happy years. They enjoyed going to concerts, watching NASCAR racing, and going for rides to look for wildlife.
She is survived by her wonderful husband Dan, brother, Kenneth Knapp; her children Debbie Marston and husband Tim, Sue Buck, Lynda Berryment; grandchildren Peter Chase and wife Shawna, Mark Marston and companion Amy Touchette, Spencer Glover and wife Kelly, Christopher Berryment and companion Brittany Dolloff, Diana Berryment, Cody Berryment and companion Grace Hebert, Jeremy Duguay and David Duguay; great grandchildren, Kalen, Maisy, and Hayden Chase, Piper Chase and companion Raine Grant, Graysin Chase, Owen Berryment and Veda Berryment and Jenn Theriault who she thought of as a granddaughter.
