Louise P. Lake
FARMINGTON – Louise P. Lake, 96, a resident of Fayette, passed away, Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at Orchard Park in Farmington, with her loving family by her side. She was born Nov. 24, 1928, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Alfred Paradis and Ida (Moreau) Paradis.
She was a 1946 graduate of Jackman High School and continued her education for X-ray Technician at New Hampshire Technical Institute in Laconia. On Sept. 13, 1952, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, she married Elmer E. Lake. They enjoyed 59 years of marriage and raising their family before his passing on Feb. 23, 2012. Louise was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. She enjoyed quilting and playing cards.
She is survived by her daughters, Lorinda Sargent of Colchester, Vt. and Benita Berry of Fayette, her sons, Reginald Lake and wife Anna of Jay, Rodney Lake and wife Laurie of Livermore Falls, and Jeffrey Lake and wife Beth of Naples, daughters-in-law, Jeannine Lake and Joy Lake both of Livermore Falls; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Celine Wells and Lorraine Maillet both of Farmington; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Elmer; sons, Bernal and Gregory Lake; and her brother, Norman Paradis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church Street, Jay, Maine. Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Interment in the spring at Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park Street, Livermore Falls, Maine.
