Stephen Schrempf Sr.
FARMINGTON – Stephen Schrempf Sr., 77, passed away on Thursday Jan. 23, 2025, at the Woodlands Memory Care Facility of Farmington. Stephen was born on Nov. 21, 1947 in Newburyport, Mass., to the late George and Jeanette (Murray) Schrempf. He was a factory worker and helped manufacture many things. He also was a volunteer firefighter from 1980 – 2001 for the town of Gilmanton, N.H. Stephen enjoyed crafts, sewing, fishing, traveling and especially, back in the day, going to his camp in Nova Scotia.
Stephen married the love of his life, Mary Anne Schrempf on June 1, 1979, in Dixfield, she passed away in 2024. Survivors include his son Stephen Michael Schrempf, Jr. of Cleveland, Ga., daughters, Cynthia Rosenthal and husband Michael of Cleveland, Ga., Heidi Duprey and husband Keri of Rochester, N.H., grandchildren: Jazmine (Rosenthal) Kirkendall, Alana (Rosenthal) Bertsch, Jacob Rosenthal, Benjamin Rosenthal, Isaac Schrempf, Isabella Schrempf, Jeremiah Flood. Great-Grandchildren Leah and Ethan Kirkendall, Clara Bertsch. Brother Donald Schrempf of Seabrook, N.H., sister-in-law Brenda Schrempf of Exeter, N.H. Predeceased by his wife Mary and two brothers, Robert and Dennis Schrempf.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, at the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford. Interment will in the Easter Hill Cemetery in Byron in the Spring.
