PARIS — The driver of a tanker truck hauling wood pellets died early Tuesday morning when he lost control of the vehicle on Hebron Road and it crashed through a guardrail and into some trees.
Ira Gibson, 63, of Bethel, died at the scene, according to Paris Police Detective Sgt. Alan Coffin.
Gibson was traveling east near Halls Pond Road when the crash occurred about 6:26 a.m. Tuesday.
The 2015 Freightliner is owned by Maine Energy Systems of Bethel, Coffin said.
No other vehicles were involved.
State police are working to reconstruct the crash and inspect the truck, Coffin said.
