AUBURN – Janet Krapovicky, 82, was called to her heavenly home on Jan. 24, 2025, at Clover Manor in Auburn, with loved ones at her bedside.

She was born in Waldoboro on Sept. 8, 1942. She grew up in the coastal town of Friendship, spending time as her Daddy’s helper on his lobster boat. She graduated high school early at the age of 16, and went on to attain a Master’s of Education from Gorham State College.

She was a devout Christian, and was a Sunday School teacher, pianist/organist and treasurer of Auburn Advent Christian Church (Turner Street Community Church). She loved cooking, teaching children, music, playing games, singing songs of faith, and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, George Krapovicky; her sons Michael Krapovicky and Matt (Narnia) Krapovicky; grandchildren Marcus Krapovicky, Emelia (Joshua) Morin, and Braiden Krapovicky; her sister, Eva Jane Demers; and nieces Lisa Fuellemann and Ellen Ross.
