Philip D. Walton
PORTLAND – Philip D. Walton, 74, of Lewiston, passed away on Jan. 21, 2025 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
He was born on Dec. 2, 1950, the only son of Donald H. and Vada P. (Parks) Walton. He graduated from Presque Isle High School and then enlisted in the National Guard. Following his service, he worked for a lumber company in northern Maine before moving south to work at Bath Iron Works and then taking his job as a long-haul trucker. He retired from trucking in 2016.
Phil was an exceptional pool player, participating in many tournaments over the years.
Phil is survived by his loving wife, Jane; his sons Eric Walton and Wylie Walton; and grandson, Benjamin Walton; his daughter, Bobby Sue Walton; and grandsons Donovan Levesque and Mason Labonte; his stepdaughter, Jessie Negron, and her husband, Rogel and step-granddaughter, Alyssa Emery Winslow; his sisters Judy Campeau, Dawn Churchill, and Debbie Blackwell and her husband, John; an aunt, two uncles; and several nieces, nephews; and cousins.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Margaret Korhonen, and his brother-in-law, Donald Campeau.
There will be a celebration of life service honoring Philip’s life at East Auburn Baptist Church, 560 Park Ave., Auburn on Friday, Feb. 21, at 4 p.m.
