Francis “Frank” P. Castonguay

LIVERMORE – Francis “Frank” P. Castonguay, 97, a resident of Livermore, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, at his home of 67 years, with his family by his side. He was born on April 3, 1927, in Chisholm, the son of George and Bertha (Moreau) Castonguay. He attended school at the Wyman School in Canton. On May 15, 1954, he married Alice St. Pierre at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. They enjoyed 50 years of marriage before her passing in April 2004. Frank was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church and had many duties at his beloved church. He was also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Frank was a farmer and the founder of Castonguay Meats in Livermore. Frank enjoyed family time and being on the farm with his garden.

He is survived by 10 children, Donald Castonguay (Jackie), Theresa Timberlake (Wayne), Lillian Fazekas (Mike), Arlene Meyer (Jack), David Castonguay (Gisele), Alec Castonguay (Sherri), Gloria Varney (Gregg), Jane Castonguay, Mary Daigle (Denis), Rosanna Goss (Jeff), 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and another on the way, three sisters, Elaine and Maryette Castonguay, Constance St. Pierre, and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m., Saturday, February 8, at ST. ROSE OF LIMA CHURCH, 1 Church Street, Jay. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Friday, February 7, at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Members of the Knights of Columbus will meet at 5:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park Street, Livermore Falls at a later date.
