MEXICO – Mr. Jon William Kowalzyk, 83, died Friday Jan. 10, 2025, at his residence in Mexico.
Jon was born in Rumford, on Jan. 28, 1941, and was a son of Theodore E. and Josephine (Mortus) Kowalzyk. He was a graduate of Stephens High School class of 1959 and served in the U.S. Army as a SP5 from 1962 to 1965. He worked for American Cyanamid Co. in New Jersey and drove cab in the area for 15 years.
He is survived by two brothers, Edward Kowalzyk and wife Sally of Rumford and Tadd Kowalzyk of New Jersey, a brother-in-law James Violette of Mexico.

At his request, there are no services. Interment in the spring will be in the Farrington Morton Cemetery in Mexico. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
