AUBURN – Lee Alen Worthing, 68, of Lewiston passed away peacefully on Dec. 12, 2024, at the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn. He was born on April 1, 1956, in Lewiston where he was raised and attended local schools. After graduating from the University of Maine at Orono, Lee built a respected career as a microbiologist with the Auburn Water District.

His dedication to his profession was paralleled only by his love for his family and his cherished dogs, Moxie and Lily. Lee was a man of diverse interests, including a passion for movies, attending sporting events, and enjoying live concerts. He relished the joy of discovery on numerous trips, which often provided stories he would share with loved laughter.

Lee is survived by his loving son, Joshua Worthing; and his brothers, Gary and Scott Worthing. He rejoins his late parents, Norman and Mary Lou Worthing in eternal rest. Lee will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
